Manawa is a partnership between the Canterbury District Health Board, Ara Institute of Canterbury and the University of Canterbury. Located within the Te Papa Hauora Health Precinct and adjacent to Christchurch Public Hospital, it is a world-class hub for health education, research and innovation.

Manawa provides education, research, simulation and clinical skills delivery, in collaboration with key education providers of medical, nursing and allied health, technical and scientific professions.

The collaboration promotes cross-disciplinary teaching and research, while the shared use of spaces enables greater assimilation of education and research into clinical practice, as well as the integration of the entire health journey of education, research, and training.
